Ventilation and air conditioning for St Helena Hospice, Colchester
This month's project was to install heat recovery ventilation and air conditioning to each office and open plan area for St Helena hospice office in Colchester.
We were pleased to install the best in class Mitsubishi Electric LGH Lossnay ducted heat recovery ventilation units that have the option of being centrally controlled, or fully automated by the additional co2 traffic light sensor that communicates directly with the Lossnay unit itself as it senses when air quality levels dip below a set point.
A heat recovery system works by supplying fresh air and removing stale air simultaneously while retaining up to 81% of heat energy for ultimate efficiency. Other benefits include consistent air changes, giving a constant supply of fresh air, enabling staff to stay alert, and taking on tasks without the mental fatigue stale air can create.
For the air conditioning, it was an easy decision to stick with Mitsubishi Electric and the MSZ-AY / MSZ-AP R32 systems with a built-in WiFi interface enabling the end user full control over each unit by downloading the Mitsubishi Electric MEL cloud app onto a smart device.
All units both cool and heat, and for added security and peace of mind we installed protective security cages to help prevent vandalism and theft
